WORSHIP
WORSHIP: the feeling or the expression of reverence and adoration for a deity.
PRAISE: the act of adoration to someone or for something
GLORY: high renown or honor won by notable achievements
HONOR: High respect and great esteem
To understand worship we must understand worth. In order for God to be worshipped correctly and deservingly, we need to evaluate His great worth. No other scripture has taught us this great lesson than what Isaiah has given us.

Isaiah 6:1-8
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said,
Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts:
the whole earth is full of his glory.
And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Isaiah's words tell us that as He SAW THE LORD that it caused him to to LOOK AT HIMSELF. Isaiah teaches us that if we understand the holiness of our Lord, His worth and worthiness, that it will do something on the inside of us. It will show us our desperate need! It shows us our sinfulness and lostness.

In fact the word "worship" means that we fall down as a dog licking the master's hand. We love and adore Him because of who He is and what He does in our lives.

This worship then moves us to the next stage of our lives and that is praise. Praise is an outward expression of what is happening to the believer inside. Worship begins in the heart and mind of the believer, then works its way to the outside through praise.

Worship is giving respect, honor, glory and praise back unto the Lord. It is a reflecting or reflection back unto Him. Our most important and vital need as a follower of Jesus is Worship. We must never let worship become a performance or tradition. It must be from the heart and never lose heart.
